Northeast India- The Unexplored part of India
Northeast India also popularly known as the seven sisters of India, is one of the most unexplored part of India. It’s a very bitter truth that many people of India don't even know which are the states that come under this regime. So let me first mention the states:Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. These states all have different cultures and different lifestyles. Widely unexplored all these states are rich in biodiversity and the people are also involved in maintaining this biodiversity and we can say that it’s a pride for all the northeastern states and the whole country.
Northeast is basically known by only
few regions like Guwahati, Kaziranga, Tawang and Meghalaya, but there are yet
many unexplored, scenic, and breathtaking places existing in this region. So let’s
begin our journey to some of the scenic places of Northeast.
1. Majuli- The Largest River Island in
the world
Situated along the waters of Bramhaputra, it’s a place rich with its
culture and heritage. Its one of the best place for hunting experience.
Places to Visit: Faato Bihu- Mohguli Chapori, Molai Forest, Phatobihu
You can enjoy: Can visit Kamalbari Satra and Dakhinpat Satra a center of
art, literature, music in Majuli. Enjoy picnic at Tengapani, a popular picnic

2. Tripura-The Queen of Hills
It is the third smallest state in the Northeast india. Tripura is
surrounded by deltas of Bangladesh on all the four sides. The Scenic backgrounds,
scintillating rivers make this place a unique one. It is majorly known for its
architectural grandeur and medieval history.
Places to Visit: Tripura Government Museum, Neermahal, unakoti, Ujjyanta
palace, Rudrasagar lake, Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary, Humhum Waterfall.

3. Cherrapunji- The Wettest Place in the
World
Located in Meghalaya, widely known for the root bridges formed due to
ceaseless rain. It is also known for best places to hangout in Northeast India
in the holidays.
Places to Visit: Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, First Presbyterian
Church, Mawdok Dympep, Rainbow Falls, Double Decker Living Root bridge.

the climbing root bridges.
4. Shillong- A Quaint Town Surrounded by
the Rolling Hills
Shillong is one of the best place who wants to spend their holidays in
the summer in the north eastern states. The city has many scenic beauties starting
from the shimmering lakes, lush hills with pine trees, mystical waterfalls and
many adventure activities makes it a point of attraction for the Tourists. It
is the only hill station in India that is accessible from every corner.

5. Gangtok: The Capital City of Sikkim

6. Tawang- The Urban Summer Destination:
It is located in the lap of the Great Eastern Himalayas, the less explored

and Monasteries. It has a wide tribal culture and enriched with natural beauty
in the Great Himalayas

7. Mechuka- The Last Town of Arunachal
Pradesh
Located at the wests if the “Arunachal Pradesh- The Land of rising Sun” the

breathtaking views from over the mountains, Pine trees covered with the snow in
the winter gives you thriving feeling of enjoying the winters in the Singapore.

8. Mizoram- The Home of Highlanders

dancing style Manipuri originated from here only.

10.Mokochung- Nagaland
It’s one of the most beautiful place in Nagaland inhabited by the Naga
tribe. It is also known as “Land of Pioneers”. It is the place where the famous
battalion troop of our country The Assam Riffles was established by the
Britishers in the 19th century.
Places to Visit: Longkhum, Molung Village, Langpankong Caves

11.Dzuku Valley- Nagaland
Located in the borders of Nagaland and Manipur, it’s a place well known
for its natural environment, flowers, flora and fauna. Its also known for its
breathtaking view of the city from the hills. You can enjoy trekking over here.
12.Ziro Valley- Arunachal Pradesh
Situated in Arunachal Pradesh this place has a great tourist attraction.
It is majorly known for its Musical festival which occurs every year where the
local artists and the artists from all over the country perform.
