CORONA- A Pandemic, Lots of Lessons Learnt!!!

CORONA widely known as COVID’19, is a widespread virus in almost all over the world. A virus that came to china in the late November of 2019 from a seafood market, now spread in almost all over the world. Many people got infected by this dreadful virus, many died and lot many survived and many people are fighting to combat the dreadful virus.

The main age group of people whom it affected the most are the children and the senior age group people that is below 10 years of age and above 60 years people.

The people who are fighting to cure more and more patients are the doctors, nurses and the front line workers who are working day and night to fight the virus. With the coming days the number of cases getting reduced and the situation is getting back into the normalcy.

So what we can learn from this pandemic??

Actually if we close our eyes and take a deep dive into our minds we can see we learnt a lot in all these few months only that we never imagined. The first and foremost thing we learnt is spending time with our family and loved ones is so much important that most of us has kept ignoring from long time. Spending quality time with our loved ones is very much important for getting refreshed and maintain a work life balance. It gives us a feel of satisfaction and happiness.

Another aspect of our learning is how technology can befit everything, 4-5 months back who has thought about online classes, work from home, and many others.

In the past three to four months we can observe that how the data consumptions and all have increased with the increase in the online classes and work from home. Platforms like Zoom, Skype, Google Meet has become a daily routine of almost all the professional people.

One more aspect of our learning is cleanliness, how much cleanliness is important and play a vital role in our life. Because of a small virus the nature got clean, now we can see timely rains, people in metros and mega cities can breathe fresh and a bit pollution free air. Water bodies got cleaned up, the great river The Ganges water got cleaner. Water animals can be seen again floating free and enjoying their lives.

We never thought that kind of things had happened like nobody has thought that malls, theaters, commercial flight services, railways networks can stop for such a long period. A small virus was able to make a pause in these large networks.

We can develop many skills which we were escaping with our daily routines we can focus on ourselves and develop ourselves in many aspects like personal care, self-learning etc.

It has taught us many tasks like games and sports can be practiced at home instead of going to the grounds and other sports arenas.

Technology has played a major learning role in this pandemic we can learn from universities all over the world from many online courses platform like Coursera, Edx, NPTEL, Udemy and enhance our skills sitting at the home itself, we just need an internet connection.

With the help of technologies we have come to a space that we can see e-concerts, e-rallies by the political parties, which has a wider reach than the physical proceedings.

So the most crucial learning are we can avoid certain things when the life gets back on normal track like strolling in malls and other public spaces can be avoided and instead of that we can spend our times at home sitting at home streaming movies in the online platforms like Prime Video, Netflix etc., with our closed ones. We can even spend time by doing some generous works like spending time with people who really seeks attention like at the old age homes and orphanages where we can also spend some quality time and donate there as you are capable.

We can avoid polluting nature by giving up many things like at the base we can give up plastics at first and don’t think if one person does what will happen, remember one thing revolution can be brought by a single person only.
